My Resume

I have been a resident of the Conejo Valley for 25 years. I am a full-time Realtor with a passion and love for helping people with their real estate needs. I work with seniors, relocation clients, first-time buyers, move-up buyers, downsizing buyers, and of course, sellers who want to realize the maximum net profit on their investment. I am a continuous student of creativity in marketing homes. I use techniques such as Staging and Feng Shui to create the proper energy and appeal to maximize your home’s full selling potential.

From 1985 through 1998, I owned a prepress and graphic business. The experience of being an entrepreneur and starting a business from scratch….facilitating its growth to a multi-million dollar company was a tremendous opportunity. I had up to 15 employees at my busiest time. This was a cutting edge technology based company that grew very fast over a short period. I made acquisitions and expanded the company twice… and finally sold it to a printing company in 1998. I have an entrepreneurial heart and first-hand knowledge in small business growth and management. Since the sale of my company I became very involved in Real Estate sales with an interest in Business Development. My strengths in entrepreneurial business development, real estate sales and investment offer a unique combination of experience and knowledge.

Giving back to this wonderful community is a big part of my business plan. I volunteer for community efforts such as the Ambassadors of the Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village Chamber of Commerce, welcoming new businesses into the community. I also serve as a volunteer for Junior Achievement at Westlake High School. This is an organization that helps open the minds of young people to their skills, interests and values and connects them with career paths to ensure their success in a global economy.

Volunteer of the Year, Junior Achievment 9/28/07 Last Friday night my family spent the evening at Dodger Stadium watching the Dodgers play a great game against the San Francisco Giants. It was a fun and relaxing evening for me. Ever since my son was old enough to hold a ball in his hands he has been a Dodger fan. (He's 26 now.) Too bad the Dodgers didn't make it to the playoffs. However, I'm thankful for these few hours I had to spend with my family and enjoy a long-time tradition of taking in a game, and eating Dodger Dogs. My husband and my kids

Why use an Accredited Buyer's Representative?

The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council (REBAC) of the National Association of REALTORS® who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.

Defined most simply, a buyer's representative (or buyer's agent) is an advocate for the buyer -- not the seller -- in a real estate transaction. Buyer's representatives owe full fiduciary (legal) duties, including loyalty and confidentiality, to their buyer-clients and keep their best interests in mind through the entire transaction.

Why Should You Use A Buyer's Representative?

The two most important reasons to use a buyer's representative are protection and efficiency.

Most likely, the seller of whatever property you buy will be represented by a listing agent who can provide expertise throughout the transaction. Don't you want the same kind of service as a buyer? A buyer's representative can provide you with the expertise you need through the entire transaction.

According to NAR research, buyers who work with a buyer's representative also find their homes quicker, while viewing more properties in their search, than buyers who do not engage a buyer's representative.

Troop Business Brokerage...

At Troop Real Estate, our Business Brokerage serves in helping small to large businesses "confidentially" package their assets, provide guidance in due diligence, formulate strategy, and take their company to market. On the other side, we will find qualified buyers that have the resources needed to acquire those business opportunities.

Call Cheryl if you are interested in buying or selling a business.

Who Are the Seniors Real Estate Specialists®?

Seniors Real Estate Specialists® are REALTORS® qualified to address the needs of home buyers age 55-plus. The SRES® Council awards the SRES® Designation to those members who have successfully completed its education program.

By earning the SRES® designation, your REALTOR® has demonstrated necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients age 55-plus through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home. Your REALTOR® has received special training, gets regular updates, and is prepared to offer the options and information needed in making life changing decisions.

There are aspects of real estate sales that seem pretty simple.
There are many elements of a smooth transaction, however, that are complicated and daunting.

I can help you with every aspect of buying or selling your home because I’m experienced, because I’m professional . . .and because I care.
